Three concepts were integrated to form the building's sophisticated shape and mass while applying contemporary design principles. The first takes inspiration from the capital city Khartoum’s unique location as The Triangular Capital. They were interpreted in the building's shape, which resembles the blue lines of the river.
The most distinct part of the building are two triangular wedges combined together, both pointed towards north. The building’s structure mimics an elephant trunk pointing to the sky, emulating Sudan’s symbol for hope and peace. Lastly, the building’s facade and intricate design elements takes inspiration from the geometric beauty of Sudanese Islamic art.
