Modern architecture with roots in Philippine vernacular architecture is the design concept behind the proposed TIEZA office in San Vicente, Palawan. A sophisticated and elegantly designed center, the ground floor of the TIEZA Office is designed to meld with the surrounding environment. The exterior wall at the ground floor is replaced with wooden collapsible doors with basket weave accents, giving its visitors the impression of being both indoors and outdoors simultaneously. The one end of the structure is enveloped by a brick wall, providing privacy in the otherwise open design. The vernacular elements extend to the second floor of office, where capiz-inspired curtain walls will be used.
