The Tourist Information Office (TIC), meanwhile, stays true to the form of the vernacular with its Ifugao-inspired architecture. Hardwood is primarily used to envelope the structure’s concrete skeleton as the office’s base, walls, columns, and floor. The sloped roof intends to use indigenous materials as roof cover, complemented by locally-made furniture and artwork inside the lobby. Like the TIEZA office, the TIC uses an open space concept, with sliding doors and high ceilings to maximize the natural ventilation and light.
