The modern Eye Center design for the Tzu Chi Foundation is simple, clean, with subtle architectural elements and accents that hint on the Foundation’s spiritual teachings seen in the building’s interiors. The rectangular building facade, only hints on its Buddhist roots through its entryway, where its roof takes on the form of the Buddhist temple roof design.
The major elements for design inspiration used here are air and earth. Wooden parquets, furniture, walls, and dividers contrast well with the sterile white color of the top half of the hospital rooms, clinics and common areas.
